Oregon Lawn Barbers is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Measures we've taken

Steps we've taken to support accessibility include:

  • A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Text and buttons checked to meet a minimum 4.5:1 color contrast ratio against their background.
  • Descriptive, non-generic link and button labels, and accessible names on icon-only controls (social links, menu toggle, form controls).
  • Semantic HTML landmarks and heading structure (header, navigation, main content, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the page by structure, not just by reading top to bottom.
  • A fully keyboard-operable mobile menu, with focus trapped inside it while open and support for closing it with the Escape key.
  • Form fields with associated labels, and clear confirmation and error messaging on the quote request form.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; purely decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology so they don't add noise.
  • Ongoing testing with automated tools (including Google Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks.

Compatibility

This website is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and with assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. It relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; some functionality may not be available if JavaScript is disabled in your browser.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas may be less accessible:

  • The embedded map on the Service Area page is provided by Google. Its internal controls (zoom, pan, markers) are built and maintained by Google, not by us.
  • Some third-party tools embedded on this site, such as the cookie-consent banner and analytics scripts, are built by outside vendors. We test them where we can but can't guarantee they fully conform on their own.
